WrapMaster Featured in "Get On The Shelf" Contest
Local Start-Up Company’s Invention Featured in Walmart’s “Get on the Shelf” Contest
Elkins Park, PA, March 6, 2012 - The owners of WrapMaster USA, and local residents of Elkins Park, are hoping to take the success they have achieved at a national shopping channel to the shelves of Walmart. WrapMaster, a line of plastic wrap, aluminum foil and wax paper dispensers, takes the struggle out of using food wraps and has been a consistent home shopping customer top rated kitchen gadget. “The response to our product has been tremendous,” says Chris Urban. “Our customers have been asking us to expand into their local markets and the Walmart contest comes at just the right time for us to do just that.”
The “Get on the Shelf” contest winners are selected based upon the total number of votes their product receives. Voting begins March 7 and runs through April 3. The top ten products will move into a second voting round from April 11 – 24. The three contestants with the highest votes will have their product sold at walmart.com and the grand prize winner will have their product featured in select stores.
To vote, consumers can go to www.getontheshelf.com/product/4945/wrapmaster and vote by choosing the Facebook link and by texting 4945 to 383838. Consumers can use both voting methods every day during the contest. WrapMaster hopes to mobilize hometown support to gain Walmart’s top prize.
WrapMaster was developed to solve a common kitchen problem. In households across America, there is a box of plastic wrap and a box of aluminum foil – and along with them comes a quiet but frustrating struggle to use these products. There is the endless search for the end of the roll, there is the delicate maneuvering around sharp, exposed blades on the box.
WrapMaster dispensers are attractively designed and are safe, easy to use and will end the struggle once and for all. Just insert your favorite wrap and the unique roller system keeps it in its place so it’s always ready when you are. The patented stainless steel cutting system slices right through the wrap as it cleanly and accurately dispenses the product – eliminating static cling and waste. Plus, the safety shield protects the cutting blade and keeps exposed edges out of the way to prevent cuts.
“When we first discovered WrapMaster we didn’t know anything about bringing a new product to market,” Urban said. “As owners of a local marketing agency, we understood how to market new products, but we had never done it ourselves from the ground up. We had a lot to learn about manufacturing, quality control and distribution and we were quick studies. In our first year, we were on air and when we sold over 300,000 sets in our first two years we knew that our intuition was absolutely right..”
WrapMaster customers would agree that they have gotten it right. “I must admit I am sometimes a skeptic when it comes to gadgets; HOWEVER this is definitely a product that has changed my view and now I think "OUTSIDE OF THE BOX"...literally! No cutting yourself on the box, no messy tangled plastic wrap, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT…Don't hesitate to order (I recommend the set of 3) and you'll smile every time you use them! says Audrey from Newberry, Carolina.
The owners are appreciative of the warm response and hope that customers and hometown fans will turn that passion into votes. WrapMaster is available as single units and sets starting at $19.95.
